CMP Welcomes Three New Board Directors

Cornwall Museums Partnership are delighted to welcome three new Board Directors.

As the team embark on an ambitious four-year business plan which will see £4.5 million invested into museums in Cornwall, the charity have expanded its board of directors to help with the next phase of this innovative organisation.

Sarah Trethowan

Sarah Trethowan co-founded the award-winning consultancy TRAC and was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2012 Cornwall Business Awards 2012, Institute of Directors’ Director of the Year for the South West in 2013 and Cornwall Business Leaders of the Year at the Hub Awards in 2014. She recently sold TRAC and is focusing on her other roles.

Tamzyn Smith

Currently seconded to Hall for Cornwall as the Interim Operations and Team Development Lead, Tamzyn Smith has experience spanning the cultural sector and has delivered contracts for Arts Council England and the European Development Fund. She was one of the very first Real Ideas Organisation employees, where she works as the Specialist Consultant in Arts and Culture.

Ellie Collier

The third Director to join the team is Ellie Collier, the Senior Project Manager at Arts Council England who is leading on the Museums Accreditation Review. She previously managed the Heritage Lottery Fund Catalyst Programme for Cornwall, and has managed other large HLF projects including at the Salisbury Museum, National Trust and Creswell Heritage Trust.

They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that really complements the other board members’ skills and are sure to help us deliver our ambitious strategy going forward as one of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations.’
